Some Comment About The Situation:

As a non-South African I have mixed feelings about what is happening. Am I welcome here? Am I simply immune from the violence because of the colour of my skin and where I live? Thu, 5/22/08 11:42 AM

I am devastated.

I reaaly think we need to pray to GOD to Intervene in this situation because at this present moment HE is the one who can do the maricle. What's happening i s really not on there is a Spirit behind this whole situation.

I feel we have a problem with being neighbourly. We losely use the philosophy of ubuntu and hardly ever put it into practise. The violent attacks on foreigners are horrible and need to be acted upon immediately by government and concerned South Africans. I have traveled a lot in the continent, and I have enjoyed the hospitality of fellow Africans from Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, to mention a few. And I wonder what will those people say to me next time I visit their countries. We need to think about the long-term effect these violent attacks will have on Business, Politics, and International relations between SA and other African Countries, particularly those that have been affected by these atrocities.

I'm horrified and deeply hurt for those affected and suffering! It's DISGUSTING!!!!!

If I don't do something, I will only have myself to blame for not standing up for other's justice when I hope others will stand up for mine in the future!
